We, the Throwface Modteam, are very pleased about the community’s interest in our Work. In this Topic we will try to answer as many questions as possible. Furthermore we want to give you a feeling of the idea of our Caribbean adventure.
The whole Team is proud to present our first results of our Mod Skulls of Treasure Island. In the next weeks we are going to show regularly the development of our Mod. We start with the presentation of our most import units. The captains.

Captain Delander Perkins (The taciturn)
One of the few pirates who don’t care for gold. His only mission in life is the merciless fight against the royal navy. In his view the navy is representative for the upper class society of the British Empire. His arch enemy is Governor Sir Gordon O’ Sullivan. It was him who destroyed the love of his life, Ginger O’ Sullivan. The governor’s daughter and Perkins had a love affair, which was a thorn in the governor’s side. Because of the class difference between the two lovers, Gordon O’ Sullivan tried everything in his might to disrupt the couple. The governor was successful, after several cruel embarrassments the daughter chose suicide to escape the grip of her terrible father. After his loved one died, Perkins’ whole life began to crumble. He had to witness, that he was being made responsible for the death of Ginger. The governor manipulated everything and everyone. At the end it seemed to be Perkins who murdered the Governors daughter. For Perkins was only one choice; only in death his pain could end. Just as he was trying to kill himself, Ginger appeared before him. She would accompany him forever, if he swore to her that he wouldn’t commit suicide. He accepted and swore to make it his mission in life to take revenge on those responsible. So he chartered on a pirate ship and moved up the career ladder very fast until he became captain of the ship. Today he is seen very often at the rail, apparently talking to himself. Only he can see his loved one. He speaks barely with others; therefore they call him “the taciturn”.

At the moment our team is working 24/7 on the design document. It's a very detailed concept of our modification. In the near future (probably the next weeks), there will be screenshots and gameplay footage. But have patience...we're not Massive. ;)

Likewise renowned and feared for his crazy inventions and experiments, Malcolm Pennington is a fierce enemy. He is sometimes mentioned as one of the biggest threats in the Caribbean. Because of his love for explosives, he scaled down several islands with his experiments. At the royal house he is however very highly commended. After his inventions improved the weaponry of several ships of the royal navy, he was offered a captains post on one of his improved ships, the “Glorified Wrench”, in the Caribbean. Sharp tongues claim, that it wasn’t a reward, it was more for the safety of England to bring him somewhere else.

BTW even if we aren't posting madly in this forum there are some of us who are following this closely, I think a DOTA style gameplay has incredible potential if it's well executed.
A little later than intended, we present our next Captain. But first of all we (proudly) want to announce that the work on our Designdocument is finished since Monday! We want you to partake in our enjoyment about that. Therefor we present not as usal one captain but two captains! Enjoy!
Ezekyle Barabossa (ghost pirat)
A long time ago he was one of the most successful captains in the royal navy. His goals always before him and always striven to reach them. He never showed weakness and demanded the same from his crew. They were tough, disciplined warriors, always ready for battle to reach the goals of their captain. But every body and every soul was only limited resilient. The very short shore leave he allowed them, the uncountable hours of training, the bad provisions and the high casualties in battle where gnawing off the crew. He never praised them, only granted them insufficient sleep and drilled without rest. It is not surprising that his crew committed a mutiny. They stripped him to the sail and let him starve to death. Afterwards he was thrown over board. It was put about, that he had died in battle. Nobody was alert to the fact, that his toughness and determination even defeated death. His rotten corpse was washed ashore and in defiance to all science his copse showed signs of life. A walking skeleton, impelled by hatred at all the mutineers that robbed him of his life, he walked on. His only goal now was to punish the mutineers and bring them the only prosecution they deserve: death. Ezekyle is now a feared pirate captain, sailing on his dreaded ship, the “Bloodlust ”.
Robert McCayne (the lost soul)
Feared like no pirate or marine, hardly anything is delivered about Robert McCayne. Pale like the moon and with his scary glowing eyes, he appearance resembles a ghost instead of a captain of a royal battleship. Anyway, he is one of the most successful captains at all. Only he and his sacrificed crewmembers know how many decorations he earned. He is respected and feared at once for his devil-may-care regardless maneuvers. He is said to fight for nothing but honor and fame. Some believe that driven by greed Robert is in pact with the devil while others tell that Robert himself was disgorged by hell.

Only the journey to the new world was their only escape from them. Just before the arrival in Port Royal, a huge storm capsizes their ship. Alina was washed ashore; she would be the only survivor of the accident. Without money and no job, she did what she could best,
to be with men. She only visited the richest and most influencing people and got paid by vast amounts of gold and a little discretion. Not all customers were unmarried. In her new job, she frequently
noticed vital information from members of the royal navy, because even renowned captains belonged to her customers. Alina sold information like this, for the highest bidder, even to enemies of the state. She made a good living of this, until the wife of one of her customers got word of his betrayal. The customer was the governor of Port Royal. He was forced, mostly for his status, to expel the courtesan from the island. Alina’s deals with information considering the fleet leaked out and so she fled. With all her
wealth, she bought a ship, the “Seducer” in Tortuga and sails from island to island to relieve rich men in double ways.
