The obvious but all-important question: Do custom maps work with the STEAM version?
World in Conflict Level Designer: New assault map "as_Beachhead" coming eventually...
I knew Ubisoft would get WiC on Steam. And EvilViking, Steam games are the exact same as the retail version. You just need to locate your main Steam directory then go into steamapps/<username>/<game name> and it will be the exact same as a box version.
Sounds great. I'm not sure that the Steam community is ready for RTT but time will show. Let's hope there's a notable regular player increase ;)
Out of curiosity, why is it not avaliable in Europe aswell?
I just bought World in Conflict on Steam. To be honest, I've never heard of it before (or if I had, I quickly forgot it). I'm not that big a fan of RTT, and prefer RTS. When I saw it pop up on Steam, I downloaded the demo, and was amazed. Graphics are excellent and, despite the game being criticized for having a steep learning curve, I was quickly engrossed in the gameplay and the campaign. I have yet to try out multiplayer (I've only been playing for a couple of days), but from what I've read it's even better.

Putting WiC on Steam was a great move, as Steamers like me probably wouldn't have heard of it otherwise. At the very least, you got one more player in the community. Might be a good idea to put the demo up, though.
I'm another new player thanks to steam. I've heard plenty about WiC, but I don't live close to any retailers. It was a no-brainer purchase when I saw it hit steam. I'm having a blast playing through the campaign, looking forward to multiplayer.
Nice! Long awaited. Why didn't Sierra ever get this to happen...

29.99 on steam not 26.99, im waiting for a deal on wic, its kind of out of stock in most places
Why isn't it possible to register my copy of WiC on Steam I bought last year? I can't even find any information on WiC on the Steam website.
