Actually you don't have to be over command point , just anytime you click unload from transport heli - the same split second your infantry is on the ground .

yeah well its not realistic that infantry thake 1 millisecond to fast rope from a helicopter and it will be more fair in games if they fixed it
its fair just as it is.. If i can take my heavy air and force fire the ground under the heli as they are "dropping" and still kill them, its fair :-)

Just sucks the animation takes so longer to catch up :-)

choppers arent weak! maybe you just arent cut out to be a air player?

Well in your example the person with the AA maybe isn't cut out to be a support player. Trust me, it's really easy to take out choppers with AA. If they come at you, all you have to do is pop smoke and get line of sight from someone else's units.

I'm not saying AA is WAY overpowered (the speed nerf helped some) but the range is just really high - you can't make the close calls that you could before 1.05.

There is, but you have to download it separately and it isn't exactly simple to use.
hope the new update would add a few more maps in the assault and tug of war categories!!

I agree this game needs some new maps, not more balancing. Unit and TA balance is quite good at the moment. Tweaks at this point could easily hurt more than help.

And people asking for new units, are you mad? Very, very few RTS's have provided new units outside of an expansion. Patch support for this game has been quite good compared to most RTS's, so I'm really not going to expect such a bonus. Not to mention they'd have to make *3* new models for every one they added, since all 3 sides would need it to maintain balance.

I can see how well the plan has worked so far. You spend more time looking for a server that does not have 8 artillery players sitting there surrounded by there new and improved anti air doing nothing but dropping shells on the command pionts and there own team.

I'd rather play against a bunch of smurfs than put up with lazy artillery players that don't help there team. Can you put in something that will limit how many artillery units each side can have down to 0000000.0!

And AMMO, I agree it would be great to have some way to get rid of the arty noobs. But I dont see a good way to do it.

On the arty arguement there should be a way to be able to call in one heavy arty and 2 med arty per team and any other support players should have to go AA or repairs. But having no arty would take away from the game. Arty is good when used be someone other than a noob.
agreed arty is the lazy mans game need to cut them down to one per side imho

Ok mate I got to top 100 leaderboard playing AA an Repairs. I dont like the good Air players I cant shoot them. Everynow and then they pop up and shoot me still. I think heavy AA should have more range..
You can see a Chopper right there at the front but cant aim a laser guided or heat missile at them? ( surely AA in real life is laser guided or heat seeking? )
Anyway what I wanted to say is the Good Air Players have no Problem with the new AA Balance and I am sure they wouldnt have any problem with a new and Better AA Balance. They could still rip up tanks just wouldnt be able to take out more than 2 Heavy AA with less than 4 Heavy Choppers.

I fully agree with the Kick team mates rule..Sometime the other team if they are unscrupulous knows why you want to kick them and votes no so they can win...

A good Supporter can win against a good Air Player. I now it, i play Support since Beta. :)
Maybe you must communicate more with your tank player, you and your Tanker shouldn´t Smoke Units at the same place at the same time. If The TAnker smoke first, and you smoke later, you have more smoke and the Air can´t attack you.
if you needs more range for aa heli's should have a better flare system cos its not so good atm :P
