Theres a new tool on wicbase.com - called Eventplanner just like a raidplanner, but for WiC.

Features:
There are just two features at all ...
- Start new events, manage events
- Player can join events, Eventcreator can accept/deny players

fixed several bugs, e.g. ...
- wrong rank on detailpage (now updating xmlfile, when you login)
- failure that causes you can double join an event
- javascript errors that checks formdata
- etc.

improvements/updates ...
- some more error handling (forms)
- showing players joined/total in overview
- transparency for prior events in the overview
(don't hide them yet for updates - later they will not shown after 24 hours)
- timezones included! :D
- all times on overview/detailpage are now shown in UTC time
- when adding an event, you can choose your timezone now



- on the detailpage, every user can show the complete list of timezones and see
when the event starts in his local time




- etc.


still todo ...
- Adding clanmembers/wicid directly to your event
- mail notification (?)
- event newsletter?
- and many other things ;)

I think, if it will included ingame - everybody will use it - but actually, its not included ingame! :)

Ok Soldier, time to kick ass! Since I've never had the chance to test the Map with 16 Players, I want to do this now. So everyone who wants to play 60 Minutes of fast paced Assault action -> Sign Up :D

The tool looks familiar (raidplanner). First off I would be in on events, but at the moment it is too complicated to find out when they are in local time. The feedback threads are also posted in too many different places.

The AOD hosted map nights worked well because they were announced a long time in advance in the forums. This is probably not the best way to announce every event though, since people who said they would come did not, and people did not find out about it even though it was stickied for 2 weeks.

I agree, this tool would be awesome if it were in game. Another way might be a mass mail tool to send invitations to people who signed up to be informed of events, with ONE place to go to get details about when, what server, what to download etc. Wicbase is already a good spot for this, but the forum linkages to massgate is a mess of threads referring to other threads and no real spotlight from massive other than the occasional sticky.

What to do? Only Gorbenko knows.

hmm. I can't edit or delete a posted event. I guess we will have to hold the 2v2 Yodeling Competition on MSV 04. Other than that the tool is easy to use to set up things in. I really like the drop down list of clan members.

Thank you for your feedback. Some issues are fixed with the update. There are only two feedback threads - here, and in the german forum. Maybe this "event-newsletter" is something to look at - maybe together with massive (if propaganda gets out every week, new events can be provided their?) ...

More feedback - more improvements and hopefully the tool is more usefull to all :)

- [bb-code] link to your event after adding it (cut & paste, like the sig) **1
- email notification for accept/deny (you can disable this, while joining an event)
- enter a comment when joining an event (optional) **2
- comment will be shown as mouseovertooltip on your name in the detailpage **3
- add your clanmates to your event (dropdownmenu, attention 100+ clans :] **4
- they will be autoset to "accepted", no email notification
(bugged acutally - after the first in your clan is added, no other can be added - damn *grr wtf* ?? =/

- Detailpage - accepted players sorted by role, highlighted timezone option
- Fixed clanmember adding, add them directly to accepted players
- Fixed doublejoining/adding once again
- Added option to duplicate one of your events, in the "manage your events"
menu you will find the new feature "Duplicate". I will copy all informations
of the choosen event and let you modify them. So it's easier and less work
to start same events (e.g. custom map days ;)

- option to choose Start & Enddate for events in progress
