The official tournament page link isn't working.

Why don't u guys try cropping a picture while giving a hand job with your mouth?
seedings are going to be a little messed up, if reason are allowed to go then DC should be able to keep their seeding from dallas to keep the top performing teams opposite side of brackets to make it more intense ^^

That is up to CPL or possibly Gamerbase who is organising the event in London. Or a combination of both ;)

Just to make it clear again; Massive isn't organising this event in any way. We're just there because it's a big event with our game involved, and to report to the rest of the community what's happening. Although this time there will be a super cool commentator broadcasting the matches live as well!

yeh should be really fun :D i just hope we can get them to change it so it'l be even more of a climax :)

that wouldn't change anything, they'd be 4th seed anyway. ToT has two 2nd and one 4th place, more points than 1 first and 1 second.
Otherwise just suggest not to consider the ranking at all, which doesn't seem very fair, considering that for example in dallas you didn't complain when 3 top teams were in one group and only you were in another :D
"Enemy tanks broke through South of Ariete Division. Ariete thus surrounded, located 5kms northeast of Bir-el-Abd. Ariete tanks fight."
dallas we didnt know who the good teams were it was the first time we saw the americans play!:D

but still, the CPL rankins mean nothing really the whole point of seeding is to make for a good tournament, the way things are it will only be you guys on one side of the brackets , reason, us , dc, and 20id on other, you cant justifie that :P for all the #1's dignitas has had it comes to the finals and we get reason then d/c second game, i'd rather of lost the other stops if i knew it was gonna end up like this :D

i dont see the problem if druidz have been allowed to come with only 2 original members. + reason (i know they had points but still there were other teams that would of liked the oportunity, they dont even play anymore)
the only team that has got the same amount of points as Reason are Amok, who played at the Dreamhack and disappeared soon afterwards.

However, I didn't know about the druidz thing. in that case, they should consider those points, indeed. But as I've told you, that wouldn't change the seeding
"Enemy tanks broke through South of Ariete Division. Ariete thus surrounded, located 5kms northeast of Bir-el-Abd. Ariete tanks fight."
I love being the underdog xD

We have trained even less than before CPL london and had to change out one of our players since he couldn't go. But pretty sure we will advance from first round and if we play our top game and inferno has a bad day, who knows ;)

But then again, paratrooper spam will do us in as always >.>
its better to have control of a good half of the map and have a free artilery every tot minutes i think...
so yes para spam better than double support :)
as it stands on one side of the bracket you have 4 out of 5 of the best teams in the world

dignitas,D/C,20iD and reason

on the other side you have inferno and all the clans that have only came because of the free prizes,

so you can imagine that none of the teams are happy that we have to play each other round 1 and round 2 when seedings are supposed to stop this kind of thing as the teams in the other side of the bracket have an easy time :)

seedings shouldnt be just based on LAN because not all teams can make it to all lans which means you could have a really poor team seeded first because they went to the most LANS.

feels like we are getting punished for winning the most stops ? :o

You think 20iD is that much better than us?

If anything the teams on your side of the brackets gets an easier ride through loser bracket for an easy top 4 spot. I wouldn't have minded being on your side of the bracket with another team taking our spot >.> If we lose vs Inferno we have to play either Dignitas or Reason to get into top 4, doesn't get tougher than that.

[Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at Feb 23, 2008 23:40 by [ToT]Santiago.]
indeed I think this isn't very respectful for ToT.
In the last CPL, they were 4th and reason were 5th. it doesn't work like you say "ok they had a higher position but it was due to Reason doing harakiri"... it's a personal opinion with which one can agree or not, but grids are not based on opinions.
"Enemy tanks broke through South of Ariete Division. Ariete thus surrounded, located 5kms northeast of Bir-el-Abd. Ariete tanks fight."
lets be honest guys. Everybody is in for the prize money in the first place.

#2 Hey so we can switch to more active players as well (flame druidz).
Is there any press release stating the exact amount of prize money apart from the initial posting in mid 2007? Any press release at all? As far as I saw the website of the world tour has not been updated yet.

PS: I do not see a problem to switch seedings with 20ID.
Oh BTW guys don't get all scared of Reason, because Silver/Xanath aren't going. They are getting ringers from europe because they are cheaper than Americans.

I love u positron. silver says "big up yo self" :D
As a member (former) of Reason, a member who deserves to go because he worked hard to get the team to their spot (which they subsequently f'd up because they had better things to do than practice), I too agree that this isn't fair on TOT. These seedings should be reversed.

ps, yeah apparently Americans are more expnsive when you tell them for weeks that there is no hope of getting a spot, then when they suddenly demand an-on-the-spot answer (without you being able to square things away with college) two days warning before they want you to fly... wow... it's no wonder Americans cost a fortune.

A little Notice next time--Hado new about our spot well before me, Isn't that a bit messed up?
Edited for the sheer QQ value, it was just too much QQ and not enough pew pew!

Does ToT have the same members @ every CPL stop? If they don't then thier placing at the 1st 2 CPL tour stops are meaningless. They should just re-seed for the finals it's the only way that makes sense and is fair. Also I don't think anyone is being disrespectful of ToT everyone knows they are very good. The thing is as he just mentioned "We have practiced even less than before the 1st London stop and we have had to swap a member out" They are a great team and great guys but they haven't been playing at all and thats makes a HUGE difference. I do think 20id is far better because they actually practice. Dignitas, 20id, Reason (Even with a ringer lineup), and d/c are 4 of the top 5 teams. Inferno is only team on the otherside of the bracket who is constantly practicing and actually has put in the work to be considered a top team, and who is a top 5 team. I want to have the competition be great for WiC and make it a good tourney and changing the seeding based on whats reality right now and not 7 months ago for teams like druidz, ToT, and schlitz.
what schlitz?
Quote from d/c^SwOOsh:

they changed members, but there was always more than 50% of the lineup unchanged I think.
I do agree that letting druidz play with 2 original members isn't that fair, if other teams are coming with an old lineup because they can't change one member.
"Enemy tanks broke through South of Ariete Division. Ariete thus surrounded, located 5kms northeast of Bir-el-Abd. Ariete tanks fight."
Changing rules as fit is never good for a tournament.
Left has been at all 3 CPL stops we have attended.
Ojka was at Italy/Sweden.
aRRR was at Italy/London.
I was in Sweden/London.
Right was in london.

Also, before CPL london we beat both d/c and reason in training games so we aren't completely useless. The map we did lose to d/c on in training was the map we played against them at CPL london. And don't count on us going double support against you next time either even if it was rather fun trying it out.

Just because we haven't been able to train consistently doesn't mean you can say "oh we are so much better than them, change seeds please?", it just means that you'll have no idea whatsoever what we will do in the game. The losses we have in training is mostly because of connection issues and crap like that. I notice you lost 1:3 vs pod.hama (FoZ) not long ago, maybe your team needs to be ranked lower because of your bad recent performance...
moreless it would be like saying "ok that football team ended 4th in the last championship, but now they're worse than last year so they shouldn't play Champions League"
"Enemy tanks broke through South of Ariete Division. Ariete thus surrounded, located 5kms northeast of Bir-el-Abd. Ariete tanks fight."
Just to join the seeding fun: We finished ahead of Inferno eSports in Italy and won against them twice in that tournament. We did not lose a single WiC match since mid August - secret is: we did not play any! ;-)

We are fine playing any team as its just about attending, playing and hopefully getting the prize money in the end. Unfortunately our good players are in G7 teams and cannot attend the event as their teams boycott CPL events as long as they are not getting their so far unpaid prize money.

PS: We did lose against Inferno eSports online in July or August and there is no doubt that there are like 30 German WiC teams playing better than we are. In the end we were able to attend events and get the necessary points to qualify!

GL HF Ladies! ;-)
