my only regret is that i couldnt pre-order =(

but there was a very great balance in the beta thats why i dont understand all the changes, but well its all good.

well not only beacuse of the game but well LOL.

I looked long and hard to get anyone to play Ground Control 2 to play with me, years ago. I haven't played alpha, beta, gamma, or zeta of WiC, but GC 2 makes me yer hoary, rheumy, ancient great great great grandfather.

IE: If yer a veteran of Iraq, I fought in WW I and WW II, and I'm STILL fighting now, you young ass whippersnappers! I'll show ya how it be done! :o)

I regretfully missed the closed beta, but I am a veteran of the open beta and demo... good times those were indeed.

The first time i played this was crazy probably the best gaming memory ever even better than the first wc3 beta you had to play on lan via a gateway :)

cant even remember how many hours i spent with the open beta it was crazy ^^

Been playing since beta as well ( it was alot better back then ) been the cause of arriving late to work many times in the past and a complete lack of sleep as well lol

I'm a Massive VIP....we discussed the game (Project Ice) for a year before the Alpha. I played in the Alpha and all Betas.

yeah it used to be US and USSR on ruins. When i preordered, i wanted to play on it really badly, but evidently, nobody else did.
I did the open beta too. loads of fun, with farmland and hometown the to maps. that was when infantry could use ruins as cover I believe....

I was playing WIC back when it was still a "pen-and-paper" RTS...i.e. each player uses a pen to draw tanks, choppers, infrantry on his side of a piece of paper. Next, a player draws a dot on his side of the paper, then folds paper in half and draws a dot on the back of the paper directly over the dot he placed on his side. The closed beta was the best. There were a lot of mature players and since the points were getting reset there was a LOT more teamwork than there is on the servers today. The good ole days.

Open beta and demo. I was a bit late to the party. Silver ball's comment is hilarious though.
