I was having problems getting the dual-monitor mode to work in single-player mode (works fine in the benchmarks and I haven't played online yet) and tried all the 'recommended' fixes found on this board with no success when I ran across this line in a Gamespot review

"The game looks spectacular in DirectX 9, and it's noticeably better in DirectX 10 thanks to more atmospheric lighting. If you only have a DX9 card, though, don't worry--you aren't missing out on any gameplay enhancements aside from the ability to use dual-monitor support in multiplayer games."

Does multi-monitor support only work in benchmark and multi-player mode? If so, I wasted alot of time trying to troubleshoot a non-supported feature.
Dualscreen does not work in singleplayer. This is a design decision and not a bug or a technical limitation. The design decision itself is something I have to ask Soundboy about.

Not to be a smartguy Vextor, but could there be a patch made to include dualscreen for singleplayer?
That’s really lame. :( I'm not much of RTS multiplayer and I was really looking forward to the dual monitor functionality. I can see some possible game play issues but that functionality is just to cool to cut a section of your audience off. At very least it should be an option... disappointing.

If others feel the same way please chime in.
I have to tell you that this post is bitter sweet. The great news for me is that there's nothing wrong with my PC. I have been trying for a week now to get this thing running in single player with dual monitors. But of course the bad thing is that I'm sad to see that there isn't any support for dual monitors in single player. I also hope for an option to have dual monitor support for the single player mode.
This is SERIOUSLY disappointing. This feature was a big part of my excitement over this title, the other being the concept and seeing a screenshot of the game set at the apartment building across the street from me here in Seattle at 5th and Battery! Thanks for that!

I've been running a multi-mon rig for years and wished for this sort of functionality in the RTS and other game types for all that time. Please, please, PLEASE turn this on for single player in a patch!! That design decision was wrong, wrong, wrong. The whole gaming world does NOT revolve around multiplayer!

Rant over. ; )

Well that sucks as I only have a DX9 card and wanted to use the duel monitor in multilayer. Is there going to be a patch for this as it is really unfair for people who cant afford to buy the latest up to date PC's.

Please Massgate can you fix this.
I dont really play this sort of game very much but I am am really enjoying it.
However, one of the principal reasons I bought World In Conflict was because of the dual monitor feature the game "has".
I feel a bit cheated that this is missing for the single player game.

If you could implement it in a patch, I would be well chuffed! Here's hoping!
i do not see any reason why they would not have dual monitor in single player. just look at supcom it work so well in single and multiplayer. You get your close in view wherever on one and a zoomed out megamap on the other. I too was looking forward to another RTs with dual monitor support but WiC is only in muliplay, again why?

I'd just like to beable to look over and see the whole picture that all. and why is it only supported in vista?
