I can run the game on highest setting on all maps no problem, except spaceneedle. When the shadow of the spaceneedle building is on screen, the game stutters and its almost impossible to play.
When the shadow is not on screen, the rest of spaceneedle is fine.
My question is, what makes Spaceneedle so laggy? Are it the houses, or the Spaceneedle? Its a great map, but there are many players, who cant play this map well, cus it runs like a diashow at the beginning.
i had the same with my 8800gts (640), but now i have a 8800ultra and the prob is gone^^.
lots of ppl have this @ spaceneedle. this map is a beast not your pc ;P
lol. Too much risk. =) A better solution would be to let us disable some things. Its really annoying cus Im always 30 seconds too late. That sucks for me as a pointwhore. xD

LOL, try using a LGB on the Space Needle at the start of each game!
I've also found this map to be very laggy. I run this game at max with an average 25-30 FPS, but on this map the game dips to less than 10 even before all of the explosions start going off. Its gotten to the point that I can only play armor on this map, since the FPS is so low every other role is too laggy for me to be effective.
Some maps and especially Spaceneedle is exceptionally rough on your system. Spaceneedle is packed with all kinds of objects and add a multtiude of explosions to that and you got a real FPS-killer.
To add even more to the table, the shadows used in WiC is complex and hogs a lot of your system's resources. It is expected that some maps will run slower on some systems as they are more complex and puts a larger strain on your system's hardware.
Please note that other processes running in the background, the number of players on the server, what happens during gameplay and so on and so on also affects the overall performance of the game.
If experience a rather large performance drop on Spaceneedle the easiest solution would be to simply lower some of your graphic settings.
